Beverly Hills Measure H will be a race to the very end.
Last Friday, a ballot measure that would allow construction of a luxury hotel in Beverly Hills was behind however new vote tallies released by the Los Angeles County registrar on Tuesday show that the very controversial measure H is now winning by 16 votes.
The current vote for Measure H, which would allow the construction of a Waldorf-Astoria hotel and two condominiums on the Beverly Hilton property in Beverly Hills, is now 7,017 for and 7,001 against.
In vote tallies released Friday, Measure H was being defeated 6,793 to 6,784.
A spokeswoman for the registrar's office, said she did not know if all of the ballots had been counted.

The vision, beauty and significance of our honoree's monumental strides in architecture and in enhancing the quality of living for people from all walks of life have gone far beyond the confines of a single city. For nearly a century, Williams literally helped shape and defined Los Angeles as one of the most impressive, charismatic and welcoming metropolises in the world. This year's tribute, a lifetime achievement award, will be accepted posthumously by his granddaughter, Karen Hudson.

"Paul Revere Williams left a lasting legacy on the architectural landscape of Los Angeles and his contribution to this great city should be fully acknowledged. I am honored to give this remarkable man the Donald J. Trump Award."
A native Angelino born in 1894, Paul Revere Williams began his career as a certified architect in 1915. Over the next seven decades until his passing in 1980, his inspiring and extraordinary creations remain testament to his talent and like Frank Lloyd Wright or Gustav Stickley, he is recognized as one of the most sought-after and influential architects of the 20th Century.
Some of his renowned structures that have played a key role in Greater Los Angeles are The Shrine Auditorium, the futuristic Theme Building at Los Angeles International Airport, Saks Fifth Avenue of Beverly Hills, and the Beverly Hills Hotel. As much as Williams was a phenomenal interpreter of the traditional and historic, he was equally forward thinking and further distinguished himself in popularizing and perfecting the clean, streamlined modern brand of residential architecture that embodied hip Southern California lifestyles in harmony with the terrain's natural splendor during the 1940s to 1960s.
On top of these accomplishments, Paul Williams was a man of many firsts, which include being the first certified African-American architect west of the Mississippi, the first African-American member of the American Institute of Architects and selected to serve on the first Los Angeles City Planning Commission. He is truly a man to be admired for his character as well as his contributions to the social and cultural fabric of Los Angeles for which this city will forever be grateful and proud.
