Employment growth beat expectations in October, with nonfarm payrolls rising by 151,000 positions, the first monthly gain reported since May. Private-sector employment, which expanded during each of the past 10 months, climbed by 159,000 positions in October, while government cutbacks shaved 8,000 jobs from the monthly total.
The latest employment report provides cause for optimism that the still-cautious private sector has finally begun to build momentum toward recovery.
Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel For Sale
Beverly Hilton owner Beny Alagem has put the hotel on the market. The Beverly Hilton Hotel has been listed for sale with commercial real estate brokers Cushman & Wakefield. Beny Alagen purchased the Beverly Hilton Hotel in 2003 from the late Merv Griffin.
Alagen invested $80 million in a major renovation of the interior. The Beverly Hilton’s owner said last months sale of the 9900 Wilshire Project “triggered a great deal of interest in The Beverly Hilton property.”
9900 Wilshire is a condo project adjacent to the hotel that went into foreclosure and sold last month for $148 million to a group of Asian investors.

can this be happening in a community of such

Beverly Hills homes are selling. . . not quickly however a demand exists for quality living and public education. A movement is afoot as parents reevaluate the expense of private school in today's economy and consider their options.
Beverly Hills' schools are not what they once were but I see them in the process of making a comeback. Families are returning and alumni (many world famous) have enrolled their children into the BHUSD. This is a great sign. It could signal the rebirth
of the Beverly Hills School System.
My children's school recently held a beautification program of which I gladly took part in. Over 250 parents and children planted over 600 plants. Seeing is believing. Making thing happen in Beverly Hills is what it's all about.
With the new school board election coming up, change is on the way. I urge you to keep your eye on Jake Manaster, a conservative who I believe has the vision to get things done. If Beverly Hills' schools get their act together, real estate prices will rise as supply and demand takes place.
