| Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber hosted the Sixth Annual John Varvatos Stuart House Benefit, a block party of sorts on Melrose Avenue. Entertainment for kids came in the form of a Build-A-Bear Workshop table and another for customizing Converse sneakers. And for adults like Jeremy Piven and Dylan McDermott, there was a mid-afternoon performance by Alice Cooper, Wayne Kramer, and the band Cheap Trick (the latter are starring in the designer's newest ad campaign). Varvatos raised $450,000 for the charity, which serves the needs of child victims of sexual abuse. "The best part is when I write that big check at the end of the day," he said. |
