Hollys is still under the old Paladar sign. The facade of Hollywood's VIP lounge re-creates Parisian nightlife via frosted glass painted with silhouettes of French burlesque dancers. Past a stringent doorman, guests enter an intimate main lounge featuring three-sided ultra-suede sectionals divided by floor-to-ceiling drapes, and a candlelit bar serviced by black-clad bartenders with soap-opera-star looks.
By midnight the club morphs into freestyle dance scene with top-notch DJs spinning house and hip-hop. Holly's West saves Westside hipsters the cross-town commute, making this a beach-convenient outpost.
The design features Venetian-style lounge furniture with velvet-red upholstery and super-low cocktail tables. The dimly lit bar is attended by lingerie-clad waitresses, and surfer-type bartenders. A small-plates menu features bite-sized burgers, oysters and crab cakes.

The Beverly Hills landmark has stood the test of time since Jean León collaborated with James Dean to open the most luxurious restaurant in the heart of Beverly Hills. After Dean died tragically, León carried on alone to establish La Scala as a fine restaurant that has stood at the crossroads to history.
Everyone from U.S. presidents to Hollywood legends to neighborhood folks and visiting tourists have passed through La Scala's doors over the last half-century. The traditional Italian fare is highly flavorful without being overseasoned. The chopped salad is an internationally-known sensation and La Scala's wine list comes highly recommended.
